Welp, back on the hate wagon

Who's with me?

**** this franchise in the ****ing neck.

I hate Alex Smith, Eric Fisher, our entire secondary, our dickhole coaching staff, Dee Ford for not being a player who could actually help us, and ESPECIALLY McGlynn.

I don't think he is a terrible QB. i think he is an average QB in terms of ability that makes fewer mistakes than many QBs. He will win you some games. But he has some flaws that are severe.

My goal is to win multiple SBs. To be a dynasty franchise. I'm risk tolerant.

The Chiefs goal is to put a competative team on the field. They are not risk tolerant.

I think the Chiefs and I have different goals and different levels of risk tolerance.

I said at the beginning it would take at least two seasons under this regime before anything meaningful got rolling. I stand behind that.

That understood, I will give NO quarter to the excuse department next year.

Please enlighten us. What are they doing?

Bill Simmons made a great point this week in his Mailbag column: You can't be one dimensional for four straight playoff rounds. It's never worked.

They've built a team that is overly dependent on the running game and nearly perfect defensive play. If either of those machines aren't operating at 100%, this team doesn't win in the playoffs. It's not built to play come-from-behind football against playoff-caliber opponents and elite QB's.

If Alex Smith goes 8/18 for 48 yards in the first half next week - or against any other decent team - the deficit is gonna be much worse than 14-3.

Personally, I'm shocked it's taken 11 weeks for a team to decide to play defense against us the way Oakland did.

This offense has not been one dimensional. It's pretty simple... when Alex Smith converts on third down, this team is very tough to beat. He didn't against buffalo and Oakland. I would still chalk the bad first half to poor game planning and I blame that on the "**** you nfl for ruining football" short week.

I think cdcox has it right. Until proven otherwise.... This team is built to win close games and has a QB and coach who are exceptional of keeping games close. Unfortunately, we have a QB who has been mostly bad at closing out close games and a coach who makes enough dumb mistakes to swing the balance to the wrong side of a close game. If Alex doesn't more consistently close games, this is a really big problem.

5th in the league in rushing yards per game, (137.1) and 31st in passing yards per game. (189.5)

Can't get much more one-dimensional than that.

Well it depends on what context you think I'm speaking of. I wasn't talking about this season. I don't have any delusions about the chiefs this season. I don't think that Andy, or Dorsey thought before this season that this was a championship caliber roster. I do agree with you that this team can't win being one dimensional.

I suppose, and I am sure you will say I'm making excuses, that the weather may of had something to do with the sloppy first half and that even a good team might of had problems throwing the ball in the first half. Of course the raiders didn't throw with great success in that mess, it was a running back who did all the damage.

And which way did the defense play the chiefs? Was the chiefs offense in the second half not balanced and dynamic?

You are right though. This team is going to struggle against almost any qb if it can't keep running backs from breaking 90 yard runs, and giving up 80 yard 8 minute drives for touch downs.

And I am absolutely sure that before the season started, before dj, devito, avery, were hurt, before Cooper turned into an undrafted scrub that you thought the chiefs were a playoff team.

So of course with those things coupled with the schedule that you would say this was a super bowl caliber team.

So, my point is what the chiefs are building is a long term plan. They are building the foundation of this team for the long haul. Could this team get to the super bowl this year? It could, but a Hell of a lot of things would have to go right.

Alex Smith would have to take more chances. Or more directly, hit open guys like Bowe. Target Kelce way more often, stop trying to throw the ball to scrubs like Hammond, and hemmingway, and utilize Bowe and kelce.

I have complained about that for years, and it's my biggest problem with alex Smith.

Take the Eric Decker hall of fame game vs the chiefs last year. Peyton found a mismatch and torched the chiefs.

I wish alex would do that. He won't. It pisses me off
