Why can't Tyreek be our #1 WR?
The more I'm sitting here thinking about how explosive and quick this guy is, I start questioning why can't he be our #1 WR?
Antonio Brown is probably smaller than he is. NONE of the Chiefs WRs have better hands than he does. NONE of the Chiefs WRs get more seperation. I heard that there was some report that claimed TH has the most seperation of any WR in the league. It was statistical analysis by one of those Pro football statistician sites. Why can't he be our #1? Anyone have a solid answer? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-in-separation Last edited by wutamess; 02-02-2017 at 03:04 PM.. |

I'd have to say yes, Tyreek has legitimate potential to be a top-flight receiving threat because his speed and quickness are an impossible cover.
Stumppy does have a legitimate point though Laz, whether you want to admit it or not. This isn't even turning it into an Alex only thread. Tyreek made fewer big plays in the passing game than he should have and his yards per reception show it. A big part of that is having a guy behind center willing to put the ball out there like Ben does for Antonio Brown, and that may be a limiting factor in Hill's ability to reach that level of production and yardage. When you have a receiving like Hill, who's best attribute may be getting open deep, the QBs tendencies go a long way in determining whether or not that receiver will end up being your #1 weapon. So long as Alex is the QB, I do believe Kelce remains target #1. I do, however, believe that Hill has developed into a guy Reid wants to get the ball to as much as possible and he schemed specifically to do so within Smith's comfort zone. |

The fact you want to throw out an unpleasant comment without providing any context , it provides no value to this thread. Basically done with the intent of being a god damn troll. If you had a factual argument like "Smith throws a measly 40% down the sideline beyond 20+ yards " then we are getting somewhere.

Except Crow knows where to find the facts that I was speaking of and he can provide them to the discussion, unlike your stupid uneducated ass that's trying to dodge the accusation of being a troll and how you are derailing the thread

If you really want to break down the WR production the last two years...
2016 Hill: 83 targets, 599 yards (7.21 yards per target) 2016 Maclin: 76 targets, 536 yards (7.05 yards per target) 2016 Conley: 69 targets, 546 yards (7.9 yards per target) Top 3 WR TOTALS: 228 targets, 1,681 yards (7.37 yards per target) 2015 Maclin: 124 targets, 1088 yards (8.7 yards per target) 2015 Wilson: 57 targets, 451 yards (7.9 yards per target) 2015 Conley: 31 targets, 199 yards (6.4 yards per target) Top 3 WR TOTALS: 212 targets, 1,738 yards (8.19 yards per target) Not sure what this means, if anything. Draw your own conclusions. |
