This. I was a little disappointed with last weeks episode but it became apparent to me it was a setup for this weeks episode.

Very solid after last week being a somewhat boring. Finally making the Maryann plotline interesting.

Also Jessica is the most attractive chick on this show.

For me, the highlight of the show was definitely Andy. I dunno. It was just a weird episode for me, because it seemed like they were trying to be serious and make it a comedy at the same time and it didn't come out well in either way. The Jason Stackhouse thing, ALL of it at Merlotte's was just ridiculous. The Sookie/Maryanne thing was the only interesting part of it for me. But when Sookie and Bill were saying goodbye, I just cringed at all the acting. It was terribad.

I thought this week's episode was one of the worst of not just True Blood, but any show I've watched in the last year. It was friggin awful.

I find it incredibly unique. The little known actors and actresses were selected very well, and really make it work on screen. The writing is pretty darn good. Alan Ball created it, who worked on Six Feet Under. And it has the same fascination with death that Six Feet Under had. Just about all the different story lines keep me very interested, and they tie them together well. I'm a big fan of the paranormal and this show doesn't disappoint in that regard. And they throw in plenty of mythology along with the paranormal. Somehow it all just works. It's pretty intense, very gory at times, humorous, and erotic.

But I can't tell you how embarrassing it is not to know what she's doing, work-wise. I actually asked if she was working the other day, not knowing she's on "True Blood". Then I read an interview and found this thread.

It's a good show. It's not very serious, and it doesn't pretend to be. It's a little "campy" without trying..

In the end, it's entertaining as hell. I'm a fan.
