So, in this scenario, I wouldn't be shocked if the offer was a 3rd and a 4th.
Remember we don't have to trade him. If you don't get the value you're looking for, just keep him for the three peat run.

I am not saying Seattle fleeced us but surely Veach had more leverage than he realized at the time. You can draft your own DE with that compensation by moving up in the first.
He was traded for a 2019 first and a 2020 second. That's basically equivalent to a first and a third in the upcoming draft.

Who were they supposed to go up and get in that draft with that trade compensation?

(PS - I know for a fact that Montez Sweat was not on their draft board for injury reasons.)

The Clark trade didn't end up being great. The Ford trade ended up being perfectly fine. Hill was traded for market value.

Ridiculous to say he doesn't know how to handle high end trades as a result of that small sample size.

The Chiefs are no longer a fledgling Kia franchise. That has to finance the high risk to take hold

Couple reports on Twitter this morning from Colts insiders that the deal is done and should happen today. Saying a 3rd this year (pick 84) and an additional 2025 pick. Color me disappointed if this is the return.

Chiefs have to get rid of sneed and don't hold all the cards here. A 2024 3rd by itself would suck but if the additional pick is a 2nd rounder in 2025 then that would be a great trade.

This happening means they clearly have chosen McDouffie as the CB they will pay big to keep.

I think his past injuries is what really hurt his value.

He has knee issues, broke his collarbone and a concussion. It’s a very sketchy slope.

If we get a 3 this year and a 2 next, I can live with it.

Anything less will be highly disappointing.

We’ll see . . . . .
