What In The Hell Do I Do With This Old Beast Of A TV?
I have an old rear projection HD Mitsubishi 65" TV that I need to ditch. It's been a great TV but I upgraded to a new 65" today that wasn't around when dinosaurs were roaming the earth. This nasty behemoth weighs in at around 400 pounds.

I managed to send this ship anchor down the road last night with the aid of Craigslist. Some dude shelled up$100.00 for it. The guy and his son showed up and we managed to get it loaded in the back of his truck with considerable effort to say the least.

I have no idea if he made it home with that top heavy pig, all he had to secure it with was two of those rinky dink fly by night pull straps and he was traveling 25 miles. I offered to lend him some of my 3" ratchet straps and told him he could bring them back at some point, but he rolled the dice.

Put in on CL for free, and watch it disappear in less than an hour. I guess you have to worry about people "casing" your house, but I don't think it's that big of a risk.

If it is, I'm screwed, cuz I have given away a LOT of old TV's and electronics on CL.

Yeah I think it would go away fast, but I would also get a running start and roll it out of the house first down some kind of Jerry rigged ramp. They better bring several of there buddies if I go that direction because I have no desire to wrangle a 400 pound TV that I'm giving away for free.
