You're really trying to say that Dex is such a good receiver that he gave Cassel an unfair advantage against other QBs, so we should discredit Cassel's play somewhat?

This place has become completely overrun by stupidity.

Peyton Hillis and Dexter McCluster are set to have big seasons.
Defense looks top 5.
Our O-line was busting holes open for all the backs.
Hudson especially was pancaking guys.
MANERI! MANERI! MANERI! Caught the ball as well as ANY TE in the league. Go ahead and move him to 1st string.
Daboll can script some plays.
Cards suck.
Hope this translates into the regular season.

WTF does that have to do with Romeo's coaching ability? Did he just ride the coat tails of the amazing Kyle ****ing Orton?

When you guys watch the games, do you root for the team to win more or less than the time you waste on not agreeing with the way the team we have has been built?
We are of the same mind, Boss.

And I feel pretty secure knowing it wouldn't be worth it, anyway.
Their first six games are damn tough, for what it's worth.

Until we see him do it...
You are 100% right man. This is his biggest flaw. We have to play with the lead going into the 4th quarter. We have to get way ahead of people just like Green Bay does. I am not saying he is anywhere near Rodgers talent level but we have to play like they do. I did some research on Rogers in the past and check this out.

Rodgers is....

4-17 when losing by 7 or less or tied going into the 4th quarter

10-7 when winning by 7 or less going into the 4th quarter

3-12 when losing going into the 4th quarter

3-2 when tied going into the 4th quarter

0-5 in overtime

The point is that he can sling it around and put up the biggest numbers in the planet but if you put him in a pressure situation where he has to do it in the 4th quarter, more than likely he will fail. It's the way we beat Green Bay last year. He even gets nervous when he is winning and within seven points in the 4th quarter. They never trailed going into the 4th quarter once when they won the Superbowl.

Cassel is the same way. We need to score and get way ahead like Green Bay does. We can't play Marty Ball with Cassel as our QB. We need to get the lead and hold on with our defense. This is the recipe for KC.

Totally agree. I don't really understand the point of following a team if you can't dream once in a while.

Its easier to be negative and spiteful, than to be excited and let down when they get eliminated from post season..

Its his internal self defense mechanism. But why does anyone even take him seriously anyway? He admits he doesnt watch the games.

My thoughts outside of the starting players.

- 4 years into the Pioli regime and there is never a WR that wants to step up to secure the 4th or 5th spot. Too many drops by the 2nd and 3rd string players.
- Neither Quinn nor Stanzi really impressed. Quinn was asked to throw more timing routes. I can see why people want to get excited over Stanzi because he has the stronger arm and faster release, but he still struggles with accuracy.
- I think they have to go 3 deep at NT. Flashes from Powe and Poe and then invisible.
- Backup secondary seemed suspect.
- The run game looked good overall, but I think I noticed a few stuffs on short yardage situations.

The conversation has kind of moved past this but I thought I would mention that Matt Ryan has never won his first game on the road. The Falcons are quite a bit different on the road than they are at home.

White and Jones are scary but TG and Turner have lost a step, IMO. Their defense is average as is their o-line. The Falcons are a good team but that game is definitely winnable.

Anybody know much about the Falcons run D?
They had the 17th ranked run D last season. Have they added anyone?
Changed anything? Were their players young, and maybe progressing? Tell me what'cha know. Clayton Please don't respond. No Offense, but I don't need any slanted info.

I don't get the first one. McCluster has secured the 4th spot.
