For real. I heard that song and thought it was actually pretty good as far as bubblegum pop goes.

With all due respect, I submit to you, Kelly Osbourne - Shut Up as the worst song that God ever gave man on the face of the earth:

I'm actually pissed off at you guys right now. There is no ****ing way you could seriously hear Rebecca Black's "Friday" and think it worse than either of your submitted songs. "Shut Up" has a certain propulsive drive to it that all pop-punk dreck does, so it has that going for it. "Whip My Hair" isn't even a bad bubblegum pop song at all. It's pretty dynamic, actually. Compared to "Friday" it sounds like ****ing King Crimson.

That's a worse music video. I'd vote for that for worst music video ever. The song itself is pretty competent compared to "Friday." 100% generic and no better than garage-band in quality but an honest performance.

Edit: Ok I just listened to Friday. Honestly I didn't feel I needed to since I was 100% sure Shut Up could never be topped (bottomed?). Also it's a giant PITA to get my headphones out at work. But OP wins. I concede. Last edited by suzzer99; 03-15-2011 at 07:44 PM.. |

Good night. That guy needs to stop shopping at Baby Gap for t-shirts.

Fair point. It's hard to beat that creepy pedophile rap in the middle for weirdness.
Counter point. I've now learned that Sunday comes after Saturday. Two points for educational value. |

I submit:
Spring was never waiting for us, girl It ran one step ahead As we followed in the dance Between the parted pages And were pressed in love’s hot, fevered iron Like a striped pair of pants MacArthur’s Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don’t think that I can take it ‘Cause it took so long to bake it And I’ll never have that recipe again Oh, no! I recall the yellow cotton dress Foaming like a wave On the ground around your knees The birds, like tender babies in your hands And the old men playing checkers by the trees MacArthur’s Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don’t think that I can take it ‘Cause it took so long to bake it And I’ll never have that recipe again Oh, no! ~ ~ ~ ~ There will be another song for me For I will sing it There will be another dream for me Someone will bring it I will drink the wine while it is warm And never let you catch me looking at the sun And after all the loves of my life After all the loves of my life You’ll still be the one I will take my life into my hands and I will use it I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it I will have the things that I desire And my passion flow like rivers through the sky And after all the loves of my life Oooh, after all the loves of my life I’ll be thinking of you And wondering why ~ ~ ~ ~ MacArthur’s Park is melting in the dark All the sweet, green icing flowing down Someone left the cake out in the rain I don’t think that I can take it ‘Cause it took so long to bake it And I’ll never have that recipe again Oh, no! Oh, no! No! Oh, no!! |
