The theme for the 2014 CP "King of the n00bs" award is...

(UPDATE 02/10/15: The ****ening has begun.)

Deathmatch.

This time we're not awarding a winner based on post count or how well-liked they are. We're going to crown the king of the n00bs based on how strong and resilient they are. This time we are finally going to crown one TRUE champion.

Here's how it works: If you joined Chiefs Planet at all since September 2013, either post in this thread or PM me expressing your interest in this brawl.

From that point on, n00bs will neg rep each other as often as they wish. Once a n00b's rep bar goes into the red, they're out of the competition, even if somebody gives them positive rep and restores the green squares. I'll check up on the participants at least once per day to see how things are going. If I don't catch somebody going into the red before they turn back to green, and nobody tells me, that person will still survive. You can ensure your kills by screen capping and attaching the images in this thread. Last n00b left in the green is the winner and the 2014 CP King of the N00bs.

This might take 24 hours or 24 days. Nobody knows. If it starts to go too long, we'll call it off and have a forum vote. Say, after two months or so.

The fight officially begins at midnight on February 10th. After that point, no n00bs will be able to enter their name in the ring. Once again, you must post in this thread or PM me expressing your wish to participate in order to compete.

General rules and guidelines:

1. I'll update the OP as n00bs enter into the contest and get killed off. You can always check back here if you're unsure.

2. Spectators are free to give out reputation as they would normally. If a n00b makes an awesome post and you want to add rep, go right ahead. If some Alex Smith fan n00b posts something disgusting, go ahead and let that bitch know how you feel. I'm not going to encourage or discourage outside participation. Do what you want. However, don't complain if you get too caught up and the n00bs start fighting back. Your safety isn't guaranteed. Don't say I didn't warn you.

3. HOWEVER, once I mark a n00b as dead, the fight's over. That also goes for those n00bs who don't wish to participate. Please leave them out of this-- don't just go on a n00b hunt for any random person who joined in the past year.

4. N00bs are encouraged to make bribes and form alliances and factions. Also, keep the viewers at home updated to what's going on if it's interesting. If you received a funny negative rep comment, post it and I'll bless you with my staff of green squares.

5. I'm including EVERYBODY who joined CP from October 2013 - December 31, 2014. That means that mults like Hootie 2.0 and Sweet Daddy Williams are allowed to enter the fray. Bufkin is also eligible.

6. PLEASE, BE HONORABLE. Don't start neg repping each other until February 10th. I have no way of regulating this, so you're on the honor policy

THE FIGHTERS:

Bufkin
PizzaDoughz
mac459 (withdrawn)
Coochie liquor(KO'd)
temper11 (KO'd)

That's the one downside to this competition.

People, please only pass out neg reps beginning February 10th so we have a chance to grow out the pool of fighters a bit more. You may, however, begin building up your favorite n00b champion if you wish.

Thank you.

I don't have the patience post 6 O'clock to read that OP - can you just tell, can we vote in folks? If so; i'd like to add Carcosa, if there's another plan, pardon me. Thanks SNR.

Somebody PM'ed me and asked me, so I'll make it clear here. I'll pay the quarter per +rep regardless if I win or lose. It would suck to have to pay 60 bucks and get 3rd place, but shit happens.

Moreover, if I win, I'll prank call C-SPAN during the morning call-in session with a comment of ChiefsPlanet's choice. It's like painfully easy to get on the air, and the call screeners aren't smart.

I guess... try to refrain from negging other n00b warriors before February 10th. We want there to be a battle to watch when the contest actually gets going. If everybody starts from the red, there's nothing to watch.

If you're supporting Coochie, though, go ahead and rep whore and try to build him up with positive rep in the next few days. That's cool and fine.

So some bribes have been made and I see the rules encouraging bribes so I will say that if I make it as the winner I will donate $75 to the site and I will buy the person who + reps me the most a pair of tickets to a Chief's game next year..if I don't follow through with either part I will take a punishment of the sites voting

There's no voting this year. We're figuring out the King of the N00bs through a massive n00b rep war.

Because there's butthurt involved, carcosa himself has to express interest in participating.

I did PM a bunch of n00bs about this, and carcosa was one of them. Hopefully we get more gladiators in the ring in the next couple days.
