Just wanted to say congrats on the ass beating

The Jets never seem to disappoint me. That was tough to sit through, and I apologize for that embarrassing performance lol. But once again the arrowhead game day experience did not disappoint. I've been to a lot of stadiums across the country and hands down arrowhead is one of the best game day experiences. From the tailgate to the Chiefs fans.

It was great seeing Bugeater and guru and montie and luvs dad and his crew again. And I finally got to meet Stevie Ray and OTW58.

I hope everybody liked the pork roll. I brought about 5 lbs to the tailgate and it all went.

Congrats on the win and thanks again for the great hospitality. I had an awesome time!

Yes! It comes in a tube (its smoked). And you slice em up. I brought a pan to put on the grill because it's not the same when it doesn't cook in its own grease. All we're on slider rolls except the two custom made ones for Stevie ray and otw58 lol

I knew it would be a big hit. You can't buy that shit anywhere but here or online.

Fitzie is a bit of a conundrum. We introduced him to a career killer Sunday, but he punked us BIG TIME when he was with the Bills, so it's not a flaw in him, per se. Just a bad day for schemes and matchups.

Now that we've beaten you, I have no problem with you wreaking havoc on the rest of the league [and not just you in particular with your pork rolls, either].
Those red zone pics were both on second down. Awful. The Chiefs had 3 guys all over Marshall and fitz was hypnotized and focusing on him. Worst performance by a Jets qb in their history. We play Seattle next at home. It's a must win.

And they had 10 ****ing days to prepare for this game.

Chiefs fans and the city of Kansas City,

I just want to say thank you for an amazing time and being so welcoming. The stadium is beautiful and the atmosphere is just...wow. I thought the "loudest stadium" thing was just a gimmick, but boy was I wrong. Third downs were deafening! Leaving the stadium and people banging on the walls doing the Chop Chant (is that what you call it?) celebrating the win gave me goose bumps and worthy of taking a video showing everyone back home how passionate you guys are. Leaving our section, people were shaking our hands saying "good game" and some folks even wanted to take pictures with us.

Unfortunately I didn't get to experience a "real tailgate", we decided to do one of those all you can drink/eat packages in what looked like a designated "tailgate zone" that had tents and a big TV showing redzone. What a fantastic concept!
As far as the city goes, I have to plead ignorance. I thought I would be in the middle of nowhere with cornfields and bare land everywhere, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the beautiful lights of the city. The Power and Light district was probably my favorite part, like a playground for adults. And everything is so cheap compared to NYC prices! Westport and Country Club Plaza were both really cool little areas as well. Very surprisingly fun nightlife!

We got a chance to check out the WW1 Museum which was spectacular and had amazing views of the city. Also got to check out the College Basketball Experience which was an absolute blast with all the interactive things you can do.

Last but not least, the BBQ. Man, I wish I had more time to try out all the different places people raved about. Ended up going with Joes and Gates. I was burping up delicious smokey goodness all day. Mouth watering just thinking about it. Definitely worth the long lines.

TL;DR - Kansas City, you are awesome. Your fans are awesome, your city is awesome, your food is awesome. You people are some of the nicest people I have ever met and go out of your way for amazing hospitality. When people asked us "Why Kansas City?" this weekend, I said "because its different". I hope if I come back in the future, I can say "because its awesome!"

(P.S- I received a few messages from my post last week asking me about my experience so I thought it would be OK to share)
I came two years ago and hung out in Westport with bug guru luv tiny evel raiderhater and sedated, that place was fun as hell. I wasn't too impressed with gates bar b q last time, but KC Joes was better this time around. I also went to nzoners to catch the end of the 3pm games two years ago and hung out in the hallowed halls of the game room. Joes a great guy.

Also was getting hit on by very attractive Chiefs fan while her boyfriend went to the bathroom, that was fun too!! Haha and me and bugeater were on tv in the stands last time around!

Another one I take particular pride in, because so many forget.

The 10-10 tie Chiefs-v-Browns back in the early 90s. It was a PitA at the time because our offense couldn't get out of it's own way.

But coming into that game, Kosar was on a comeback tear. He'd finally got over the loss of Schottenheimer and was tearing up the league. IIRC they were first in their division when they came in, and we tore him up. He retired within a season, and the Browns have never been the same, including losing their franchise altogether for a while.

It's those shockwave kinds of battles I love about the game.

Well, thanks for posting the link then. Since I missed out on the festivities at least I know where I can try the goods. I'm ordering some. I'll post pics in the dinner thread. I'm trying to hit some games this year, but I scored Blowfish' seats for the Saints game and that set me back 5 bills at cost. Well worth it for the best seats in the house.
