Alex Smith Appreciation Thread

The wide receivers are garbage, the line sucks and yet he still somehow manages to march this pile of crap up and down the field.

AND TO ANYONE WHO THINKS HE IS A PROBLEM - YOU'RE AND IDIOT!

If the 49ers still had Smith, they'd have won last night easily.

I'm glad Alex is our QB - he was about like Manning yesterday. So much potential!

Goodness! I came to post this exact quote and you beat me to it. Damn straight Alex would've won that game.

That new stadium is cursed, BTW. Lost their first game ever like 28-0 then lose this one? Candlestick is putting a hex on Levi.

Hey dumbass. Instead of harping on the 68 mil, how about harping on the GUY in Jamaal Charles,, who cant stay healthy at all.

How about that?

Nooooooo, lets harp on the qb, who actually is doing something with next to nothing.

But, lets keep kicking the qb. Obviously, every other qb in the league would excel with this team.

Obviously.

As per usual, he did what he could with shit playcalling and a sloppy mess around him. Not great.. he can do better.. but he did pretty well. I'd give him a B grade on the day.

There's just too much injury and fail on the team to overcome... few (if any) quarterbacks could win with this bunch right now.

Yea, or even worse, Bowe. I thought about this last night. This team has too many guys with no heart. When the games on the line, they can't step up. Alex, kelce, fasano, Davis. They all played to win yesterday.

Charles is the most important player on our offense, you're correct...how this is a compliment to our franchise QB, I have no idea

what about being 0-2, or his 1-3 td/ratio, or his bottom feeding QB rating makes you think he's great is beyond me

but you clearly have low standards, i'd guess you got lots of 'thanks for trying' stickers from your parents growing up, would explain your mediocre intelligence

remember folks, his failure to tie the game is proof he's a good QB...[/chiefs logic]

I'm more annoyed at not winning in 2012 and 2013. Those teams were Super Bowl contenders.

The 'he's young and getting better' was moronic in 2012 and 2013 not because it wasn't true but because should only of been about winning those games.

And now the 'he's young and getting better' claim is being tested this season.
He looks about the same to me. Will be 27yo when week 10 rolls around.

3rd year with the same staff and mostly same guys around him.
Slow to make pre-snap read and adjustments. Doesn't read the field post snap. Footwork is choppy. Clutches back in the pocket. Doesn't step up. Runs sideways and continues to pat the football.
And how many completions are ever put on the money? Guys are having to jump, lunge or turn back to catch most of his passes. A questionable fundamentals foundation and that is the result.

being 2-7 in our last 9 games is also proof of Smith's awesomeness

we should all chip in and buy him something, just so he doesn't get the idea that winning is important

Jamaal Charles is the Chiefs' only major offensive threat. When you're that reliant on a running back in a passing league, it's an indictment on the $68 mil quarterback.

It's clear that despite insisting you're a Chiefs fan, you're really just an Alice Smiff fan.
