I don't even know what to say, I am so completely floored and wrecked emotionally. Kind of losing it a little bit. I'm asking for the prayers and thoughts of the planet community.

My 7 year old nephew is in serious condition.

On thursday, he and my brother and his wife all had a little of a head cold. Nothing big, just something that had been "going around".

They are both better, but he is not.

I just can't believe how fast everything had gotten flipped upside down.

Saturday night he was complaining of mild fever, but also mentioning that his leg was hurting him. Sunday morning he woke up and could only walk at a limp. Raced to the hospital to have MRI's done, and we now know that he has influenza.

It has permeated the spinal column and is in the t6-10 vertebrae. He can't walk at all... Full recovery is unlikely at this point from what we are told. It's possible he may never walk again or worse. I am so sad right now. Please send love and thoughts for Pfiefer.
