Outside of very rare circumstances, I don't think I can suggest an AMD right now. Intel holds the advantage in most situations.

I'm open to changing- I need to upgrade my build and I'll admit I know next to nothing about current hardware.

I had my last AMD for 6 years and haven't had one issue.

I used to love AMD, but look at benchmarks. AMD has fallen way behind. It's not even close anymore. It's pretty sad how far ahead Intel is these days.

Years ago AMD put everything they had on a chipset name clawhammer or something (iirc). Intel smoked them with the i series and along the way AMD has basically abandoned the desktop market.

I didnt think anything about it was just pointing out to those who might not realize it. I am 6 years in cutting the cord haven't looked back. I also have this OTA model for about 6 months now with the lifetime service.
i just dont seem to record that much and every time i have to rescan my ant channels all the channels i dont receive i have to re delete very big PITA. I am still learning it though.

yeah, I wasn't trying to talk shit or anything just wanting to let you know that right now Intel is not even close to amd. I would highly recommend going with Intel over amd as long as you can afford it of course
