Justin Houston day to day with hyperextension, not PCL injury
Big Red says that Houston in the past two days has came 'a long ways'. It sounds like he could definitely play Sunday.

Also, the Hulk (Bailey), Fish, West and Ford all practiced today.

Best wishes to the guys who didn't and glad to hear all the good news.

Every win matters a great deal, but ultimately it would seem that the Raiders game is now no more important than any of the rest of them. If resting Houston against Oakland increases the odds of getting 4 games of beast mode from him to end the season (and ideally catapult them into the post-season), then I'd favor resting him.

Oakland's stadium still has those shitty spots on it where they lay the field over the baseball infield, yes? I don't think I want him going out there on a gimpy wheel, hitting one of those loose patches and setting himself back 3 weeks.

I'm lean towards preferring another week of rest.

This game is even more important than the Buffalo game. Houston playing and getting Bailey and Ford back certainly eases my mind a bit.

Oaklands field should be fine. No playoffs in baseball so I'd imagine it's fine right now but who knows with that garbage stadium.

What I got out of team trainer Rick Burkholder's comments is that Houston basically just had his knee go the wrong way, no damage at all. Not sure if this is just a precautionary thing or what but I'd be surprised if he can't go Sunday.

That being said, I wouldn't mind playing Ford against Oakland until our pass rush gives a reason to put 50 in.

Im fine with sitting Houston, but ONLY if Ford is ready to go.

And I completely disagree that Oakland is no more important than the rest of the remaining games.

A loss to Oakland would push the Chiefs out of their current seed and drop them to 3rd in the division, which would then make that next SD game even more important as we'll need divison wins in the event of a tie breaker with Oakland.
