He got paid and his finger is shot. He's definitely trying to get a last paycheck before he bounces.

I guess the people who called Bowe a lazy slacker were right. At least Haley knocked him into shape and made him a decent #1 for a couple of years.

It really is like Jerry McGuire - play like the best receiver in football for a few games, get paid, who cares what happens next?

I think Bowe came to camp overweight because he spent all offseason chasing his depression over being released by us eating Sonic. I'm dead serious.

I think he got tired of getting destroyed on one too many Cassel/Smith passes that made him contort his body in traffic lunging for a ball that was 10 yards off the mark. The Pats will probably pick him up for nothing mid-season and make him a world-beater.

He is still not practicing for week 2 either. I doubt he really wants to play for them, just get the money and barely do anything.

He should have said what Priest said to Trent at one point in the 2001 season. It was something around telling Trent to stop throwing passes that were getting him blown the **** up or he'd stop catching them letting Trent try to run down the interception.

Bowe did say "**** that" in at least one instance though. This board was fuming.

bullshit

So one minute Alex smith sucks because he is afraid to throw into traffic. Now Alex Smith is hanging Bowe out to dry by throwing into traffic too much?

Yeah because they clearly wanted him this off season. And they really need a guy like him!

Did I say throwing into traffic? I said forcing him to contort his body in traffic on a ball that's 10 yards off the mark.

I'm not defending Bowe at all - he still should do it. I'm just saying he might have said **** it - my health is more important.

Why would they pay him big money now if they can pick him up for cheap when he flames out? See: Randy Moss and a ton of other players.
