If you're looking at the context then you still have Romanowski calling Newton a "boy." You're example is terrible considering in that context it isn't racist when you consider who the comment was coming from (father to son).

...if I would have ready Romanowski's tweet before this stupid uproar I would have thought it was demeaning because he was insulting Newton based on his relatively young age. I, for one, had no clue that black people couldn't be called a boy.

Most people would get the benefit of the doubt. I would assume it's just an older guy chiding a younger guy for being immature. Bill Romanowski has pissed away the benefit of that doubt.

I believe Bill Romanowski knew exactly what he was saying, and he knew the context in which he was saying it.

If you refuse to acknowledge racism when it IS demonstrated, you lose just as much credibility as blacks who play the race card whenever they think they can gain an advantage by doing so.

Hrmmm.....what could Romanowski have possibly meant when using the word "Boy". Think long and hard about that one, try to use it in context when talking about Cam Newton's #1 criticism...a criticism that has been made for YEARS.

As we have no way of reading Romanowski's mind I don't think there is any way to say if it was racist or not. Was he just pointing to the fact that Cam is young and did not act with the demeanor of a grown man... I would lean that way but I can't say that with 100% certainty.
