A bill being introduced Monday in the U.S. House of Representatives could be Cox's ticket home. The three-page bill would amend the Controlled Substances Act -- the federal law that criminalizes marijuana -- to exempt plants with an extremely low percentage of THC, the chemical that makes users high.

My wife's pain specialist was a jackass. He gave her a script for painkillers which has to be refilled every month to prevent "abuse". They would always, without fail, send her refill on the last day of the month, so with processing she would always every damn month go at least 1 day without her meds. If it was a weekend or holiday it could be 3 or 4 days with no meds.

She finally just quit the meds and told him to **** off. She's using natural therapy now and dealing with the pain. It's better than being a zombie.

Yeah I was totally against going the methadone/suboxone route. I've heard from too many people that those are even more difficult to get off of. What I did was taper slowly until I was taking so little every day that one day I could quit. The biggest issue for me is the constipation. That's actually a good thing for me. Probably the main reason why I stay on them. There's nothing, and I do mean nothing...more condescending, embarrassing than shitting yourself in the public. Pissing is no big deal unless of course I'm standing & holding onto the side of my car & if I'm wearing shorts you'll see the stream going down my leg.
(Nothing I can do about it. I have no sensation anymore) When I try to void myself cause I think I'm full & don't want an accident, if the bladder isn't full I can't get a catheter in.
If I'm by myself it can get rather messy. Also a reason why I'm mostly a homebody. One of the best things' about the 'net is everyones' a captive audience.

I think it's a federal law that the narcs can only be issued one month's worth at a time to curb abuse. Also, you have to physically pick up the 'scrip.


Your wife's a strong lady to make it that long without. My pain specialist gives me 'scrips' for 3 months worth whenever I go in. She just makes sure to date the 'scrip in advance.

I was pretty constipated at my peak too. However, it wasn't a good thing for me haha. I would go days without shitting and then all of a sudden I'd get a really nasty upset stomach. I'd have to really push to "pop the cork" so to speak, and then it was like a volcano. I made a disgusting thread about it a long time ago here.

I have some pretty disgusting stories.

Whenever someone talks about "pride", I have to ask what that is, ha. That has a tendency to happen when a nurse reaches up in yer butt to dig out feces cause you can't physically push it out. And omg, the smell!!!!!
