I will admit that I was probably wrong about Motiejunas being trash. I liked DMO, then hated him, and now I like him again. Just really want T-Jones to get back. Hate seeing Black and Dorsey get minutes.

While those are both true, they change nothing about what I wrote. Kyle Lowry is a better player than John Wall right now and it isn't close.

Now unless your using analytics to make your "they are not even close argument" that's fine, but on paper with box score averages your argument is way off, because that's pretty close to me.

2014-2015 Lowry: 23.34 PER, 119 ORtg, 105 DRtg, 4.3 win shares, .225 WS/48, 5.9 VORP.
2014-2015 Wall: 21.33 PER, 107 ORtg, 100 DRtg, 3.0 win shares, .158 WS/48, 4.7 VORP.

Wall is a better defensive guard, but it isn't enough to make up for the huge offensive gulf between the two. It's just not close, not right now anyway. There's actually a legitimate argument to be made that Lowry has been the best player in the East this season, not just the best PG. I would still probably give that to LeBron, but he's been taking it easy all season.

FWIW, they were both in my top 5 when I did my list a month or so back (Paul, Curry, Westbrook, Lowry, Wall). Lillard has been so good so far that it would be hard to exclude him from that right now, though.

I'd say PG is the deepest position right now in the NBA with good players

it's funner trying to figure what what position is the weakest and falls off the cliff talent wise, SG or PF.

Biased in your assessment IMO. They are definitely close.

I don't think so besides the box score. Wall benefits from a better cast, not analytically or statistically, but veteran leadership, locker room culture, etc that helps his development as a player and a person. Pierce, Nene, Gooden, Gortat, Andre Miller, Rasual Butler, etc.

Wiz aren't good analytically as players, but tons of smart, crafty veterans and a decent assistant coaching staff help the young PG and SG and hopefully when those two enter their primes they can add a 3 premier talent to the puzzle and make a real run. (not naming no names, of course.)

Of course I'm biased, I'm a Raptors fan (although I'm always the first one to tell anybody here that DeRozan is colossally overrated). I'm also right about Lowry, though. The stats should sufficiently prove that.
