No goalposts. Should have picked Bridgewater. Instead we have a broken rib.

What a flashback!
All of a sudden it is the 2015 draft and I'm sitting on my couch. Bridgewater is dropping like a rock due to one stupid pro day, and suddenly the Chiefs are on the clock at #23. And I'm thinking, "No way they pass on Bridgewater. And it's CHEAP. A low first rounder". Then they pick Dee Ford and my brain blows up. I'm like, "Uh, OK all those Chiefs fans said it would never happen and Clark is an idiot and Reid is his stooge and Dorsey is hamstrung. Yep." And I just shake my head in sad wonder. You had him. You guys HAD HIM, somebody who could fail but just MIGHT be the franchise QB for years to come who can lead the Chiefs over the hump. You had him, and instead Dorsey gave you this... |

Based On Bridgewaters rookie year you take him in a heartbeat. He will equal Alex maybe this year or next and/or surpass him as an overall productive QB within 2-3 years. With a QB of Alex caliber you cross your fingers EVERYTHING else goes perfect, or you stumble into 2000 Ravens D and then your a real contender....with a good caretaker as your QB. |

Bridgewater becoming a solid franchise QB would be peak Chiefs football.

The worst thing? Back to back winning seasons (for the first time since 1993) after what was one of the worst seasons by any team in NFL history? Dude has played behind dog shit on the offensive line for two straight seasons. (Go see how high Linkenbach, McGlynn, Harris and Fulton were rated last season.) Has had to work with the worst receiving group in the NFL for two straight seasons. Has taken shots that resulted in a lacerated spleen. And still has led this team to back to back winning seasons (and what should have been a playoff victory if the defense didn't absolutely shit the bed). Don't be a ****ing moron. At the one position that truly makes the difference on a football field, the Chiefs have immediately turned around this team from laughing stock to being able to beat any one at any time. (Seahawks and Patriots last season anyone?) There are some seriously stupid mother ****ers on this board right now. |
