Chad Reuter Five-round Mock 3/30/2017
Link - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...nds-in-round-1
Here's the Chiefs haul. I personally can't fathom a scenario where they don't take at least one OL within the first five rounds but this is an interesting group: 1. HB Dalvin Cook FSU 2. DT Montravious Adams Auburn 3a. QB Nathan Peterman Pitt 3b. WR Taywan Taylor Western Kentucky 4. LB Ben Boulware Clemson 5a CB Brian Allen Utah 5b DE Dalvin Tomlinson Alabama |

Certainly like the Peterman, Tomlinson, Allen, and Adams picks.
Kind of meh on Ty Taylor, and think he's a day 3 guy that wouldn't really be a factor. I don't think Boulware has enough athleticism to be any better an option than what we already have. I think Ben goes later than that, and more likely, an UDFA pick up. Dalvin Cook is a very good weapon.. and I'd try to be happy with it. Just feels like we could use that first pick on a better positional option. Guess I have more faith in Ware. In this scenario, I'd prefer an edge rusher, and make that WR in rd 3 a RB instead. Can't rely on Justin Houston anymore, and my trust in Charc West is wavering.

Wonderful, another Brodie Croyle in the 3rd round. That's a very Chiefs type draft.

Never draft 2 Dalvins in the same year, it's a recipe for disaster.

Boulware is slower than some offensive linemen. He's awful. He may find himself special teaming it up on a roster somewhere, but it won't be a very good special teams unit |

I could see Cook sliding because of off-field concerns. Some have hinted his rap sheet is worse than Mixon's. Arguably the best rb in the draft but he has shoulder issues too. Not sure how I would feel about the Chiefs drafting him if he were available. There are other talents at positions of greater need to fill where the talent drop-off is significant between round 1 and 2.
I think they go QB, OLB or ILB with #27. Names? I will take a stab at Kizer, Watt, J. Davis or Reddick if he is available. The way he has been hyped on NFLN you would think Reddick is going #1 overall.... |

Sounds insane, but every year, there is a selection that makes me lmao. A prefix to say that I can see a wild-darkhorse-reach selection like Derek Rivers at the end of rd 1.
