Have to say I really respect the Texans for making the move. Yes you screwed up getting him in the first place, but you admitted your mistake and moved on and didn't say "look! We beat a back up QB with him in the playoffs! He can totally take us to the super bowl!". The ultimate goal is to win a super bowl and not some silly meaningless playoff game. I wish one particular franchise would do the same thing....

I love this move on the Brown's end.. There is a slight possibility that Brock can turn the ship around and become a salvage QB for 2-3 years while they rebuild. I love they picked up a second-round pick in the process. The cap is not an issue in Cleveland, so why not get paid to take a chance on a young QB when you won't be in contention for at least two more years? Absolutely brilliant.

Imagine Brock developing into a really good QB (not plausible but just imagine.) Clev would get paid a second round pick to take over the contract of a good QB. It's a no-brainer for Cleveland. The only possible way this is negative is if the Browns front office thinks he's the guy and do not draft a 1st round QB this year or next (and he continues to be awful) or his cap hit becomes a problem when the Brown's are trying to sign a few guys to make them contenders. I love trades like this in the NFL.

Also, not a horrible deal on Houston's end as they will probably sign Romo and become instant contenders.

I agree, if they are paying for him he should be on the roster and competing in TC especially if there is a rookie or a young Jimmy Grop there.. That part doesn't make sense to me, unless they all see how bad he really is, and that there is no hope.

I love the deal for the Browns, and would cut "The Heist" but the league has strong rules on not paying for picks and this seems like it

God, how bad a quarterback do you have to prove yourself to be before the Browns are willing to take on your contract, but they don't want you to actually show up and try to play for them?
