Oscar Weekend - List Your Top Ten Favorite Movies
So it's Oscar weekend and right now I'm watching Encore.
They're showing some of their best Oscar winning movies over the weekend. Unlike music there are very few movies that I can watch over and over again anytime they're on TV. And I don't go to the movies anymore since I have a 60" HD flat screen. But in no particular order here are my top ten movies. What are yours? Easy Rider The Dark Knight Platoon One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest Scent of a Woman Pulp Fiction The Shawshank Redemption Iron Man Gladiator The Godfather |

Don't know if you know but it's based on a 50's french film called The Wages Of Fear which is great as well if you can handle the subtitles.

1) Casablanca
2) Godzilla, Original 1954 Japanese version, not the American cut with Raymond Burr 3) The Great Escape 4) Godfather I & II, technically 2 movies but screw it I'll call it one 5) Oldboy, Korean version, not the inevitable, God awful American remake that will come out sometime in the future 6) Audition, one of the most disturbing J-Horror movies I have ever seen 7) King Kong, 1933 version, simply incredible the techniques they used in that film to create some of the scenes 8) Psycho 9) Star Wars, not for the awful acting but the advancements of special effects that came out of the movie 10) Blade Runner, best death scene ever in cinema hands down! |

I forgot about the old black & whites. I should add the original King Kong, Dracula and the Wolfman. Those were great movies. I guess I like more than 10. |

Top 5 is easier than top 10. After the first five or so, I could swap out 15-20 movies into the rest.
