Tips on how to Speed, I wanna go fast.

I'm going to start going to Mayetta KS (just north of Topeka) once a week or so for some stuff. The highways there are pretty desolate, and going 90mph instead of 74 mph could lower my commute by almost a half an hour.

Any tips or scanners to use to avoid or locate the police using radar? With todays technologies & up to the minute information is it possible to significantly lower your risk of getting a ticket?

I usually drive like an old man, and whenever I do speed I get nailed. But then I see these people going 20 mph faster than me that never seem to get any tickets. Wondering if there is a trick I'm missing out on

This sounds awfully suspicious.

I would suggest going to your public library and checking out several books on tape that you like. Don't speed and enjoy your time to brush up on some "reading". The time will seem to go faster and if you are into your selection-you will look forward to your safe a legal commute.

Don' forget to buckle up!! Click it or Ticket!!

Learn where the cops sit usually. They have their "berry patches" were they will normally sit because they can write a lot of tickets without having to move much.

If you're not concerned with breaking laws, look into laser shifters and the proper way to use them.
This x2 I've got the 9500ix with gps and updates had it two years I have an hr and 20 a min drive twice a week across desolate areas it will pick up radar almost two miles away. It doesn't make you bullet proof but it sure helps.

Not really, the expense of laser means that there are still a lot more radar than lasers in use.

Correct that all a laser detector does is tell you that you have been illuminated.
I assume by “shifter” you’re talking about a laser jammer? Most use an IR illuminator bar in the grill and/or along the back that flashes when a laser signal is detected confusing the laser sensor. These are effective, hard to defeat and illegal.

Incorrect, both radar and laser need to be in line with the direction of travel of the vehicle and both will have a similar cosine effect that depends on the line of sight angle to the direction of travel. The cosine effect means that the measured speed will be less than the vehicles actual speed, the greater the angle the lower the speed reading.

Correct in that anything that will interfere with light will interfere with a laser, you can throw dust in there too, but it doesn’t render them ineffective it just reduces their effective range depending on how hard it is raining or how dense the fog is.
Another limitation of laser is that the effective range, depending on the size of the vehicle, is only around 2000-5000 or more feet so you have a chance of seeing the officer tracking traffic before your vehicle is illuminated. The effective range of radar can be over 3 miles, depending on vehicle size and terrain.

I got pulled over and given a warning for doing 79 in a 70 in Kansas a week or to back. I don't know how he only got 79 because I was going 85+ the whole way. Oh well.

Flip off some rednecks with a confederate flag bumper sticker. They'll have you speeding up in no time.

Instead of speeding, perhaps you should consider driving in the passing lane the whole way while driving 20mph under the speed limit?
