"Is now", he should have always been the favorite to win. It took Brees 3 straight garbage games to get bumped. If he has 2 big games they will push for him to win no matter what Mahomes does.

Jesus people, Vegas has already shifted the odds way in favor of Mahomes.
Barring a major meltdown it’s already a done deal. |

Considering his dad said "he's a dangerous man" right now, I think we are going to see epic performances from Mahomes these last two regular season games.

Brees has tapered off in his last few games. He had an opportunity to pull ahead in the MVP race but he was not able to do so. If KC secures the #1 seed then it is pretty clear it should go to Mahomes, unless he melts down and Brees takes off, in the last two weeks.
If KC falls to the #5 seed by the end of the year, the boo birds might want to give it to Brees. Although KC might be the #5, they likely will have the 2nd best record in the AFC. Brees kind of got pushed out of the MVP in 2008 and 2009 for Manning and there be a sentiment to want to give it to him now. But i think Brees needs to make up for his poorer performance in the last few games. |

But you should get over yourself. Brees should be in the conversation for MVP.

Watching Brees last night reminded me of P. Manning's last year. You can tell the arm just isn't there anymore and has dropped off considerably from earlier in the season. He needs to get in on whatever PEDs Brady is using.

I can't get energized for individual awards. They do nothing for me interest-wise. But even if you do care, why get so worked up about it when the vote hasn't happened?
I get it's a football site and I'm all for reading your breakdowns but there are enough things that can get your blood pressure up when it comes to the chiefs. |
