Ramik is still making some plays which is nice to see out of our late round picks. Never saw that shit in the past with guys like Nico Johnson. Or that I remember seeing.

Wilson is making plays the exact same way he did in college. He finds the ball when somebody else finds the ball. He flows well, but he's not assertive and does not make hardly any impact plays. He doesn't take on blocks at all and doesn't actively look to blow a play up rather than flowing to the play.

He had a lot of tackles while at Georgia, but he rarely made any plays. Looks to be the same so far this preseason.

Not really pleased with his performance to date.

So, you're disappointed with a linebacker that has a lot of tackles.

Got it.

Who makes most of his takcles after the ballcarrier has already gained 5 yards, yes.

That's not going to helo fix this run defense.

I know, it's just hilarious.

"I hate Ramik Wilson"

"Why?"

"He makes too many tackles"

"WTF?"

There were two middle linebackers in this draft that I didn't want to see the Chiefs draft. One was Eric Kenricks and the other was Ramik Wilson. Both make/made a lot of tackles but they hardly made any plays. 95% of their tackles were past the line of scrimmage and they had help on them. Finesse players that were going to struggle taking on linemen at the next level.

Which is what I've seen so far.

The Donnie Edwards comparison is a fair one. Edwards made a lot of tackles during his time with the Chiefs, but hardly ever made the impact play.

Wow, all this with no mention of Zach Vigil or Terrance Plummer. Your recovery is going well and i'd say you're on step 4/5 on the stages of grief. It will get better Mr. Sac.

It's hard...so hard.

Washington has issues at inside linebacker. Last season, the Redskins allowed 27.4 points per game, which was 30th in the NFL, according to NFL.com. The team also ranked 19th with 357 yards allowed per game. The list of troubling statistics goes on and on, but the moral of the story is that the Redskins need a change.

That change will most likely come from undrafted free agent Terrance Plummer. He is Washington’s best undrafted free agent signing because he is the best player at the team’s most notable position of need. Plummer proved during three productive years at the University of Central Florida that he—unlike most of Washington’s current linebackers—is durable and can tackle consistently.
Quote:
Defensively, with the season ending injury to linebacker Adam Hayward, undrafted rookie Terrance Plummer (Central Florida) is now No. 2 at inside linebacker behind starter Perry Riley.

I can understand the apprehension with R. Wilson but I truly think he'll be fine.

He's a player with a nose for the ball.

I liked seeing DJ walk on the sideline with him coaching him up.

Look, if his floor is Donnie Edwards, I'll take it.

If his ceiling is Donnie Edwards, I'll take it.

I freaking hated that sorryass excuse of a tackler.

He shoulda' been a cowboy, cause he rode RBs like he was busting a bronco.

His responsibilities as a Will linebacker is not to go into the backfield and make sacks. It's to cover and make plays on the passing defense of the ball. He's not a DJ and quite frankly I don't think anyone besides Kuechly is in this league. Johnson was a top 3 ILB before injury and he looks even better coming back from the Achilles injury like I told you CP ****s he would. I told you he would be 100%!

His responsibilty in the running game to find the ballcarrier, not to sit behind the pile and wait for the ballcarrier to find him.
