You threatened another poster last week.

Just heard that over the past 2 seasons, 20 of the top 30 rated football recruits from the state of Texas signed with SEC teams.

College football analyst Brian Fremeau, whose work can be seen at FootballOutsiders, has released his 2015 projections for his Fremeau Efficiency Index ratings, and well, it does not look good for Kansas football.

The Jayhawks, according to the projections, are ranked 127th out of 128 FBS teams. Only Eastern Michigan is below KU, and the next lowest power-five conference team in the projection is Rutgers, which is ranked 97th. That’s actually good news for Kansas. The Jayhawks travel to Rutgers in September.

Some quick background on the FEI ratings: In short, the advanced rating system is based on opponent-adjusted drive efficiency, when accounting for an approximate 20,000 possessions in FBS vs. FBS games each year.

Anyway, this is just one computer rating system among many, and a wave of preseason prognostications and predictions is just around the corner. (Is Phil Steele out yet?) But the projection comes on the heels of an Orlando Sentinel preseason ranking that placed Kansas 126th out of 128 FBS programs. All of this is to say the obvious: New Kansas coach David Beaty is staring at one of the toughest jobs in college football this season.

Kansas State, meanwhile, ranked 25th in the FEI projections, while Missouri came in at No. 17. Defending national champion Ohio State is No. 1, while Alabama checks in at No. 2. Baylor is the highest ranked Big 12 team at No. 4, while TCU is No. 9.

Another dismissal for Mizzou. Couple that with Beckner most likely not qualifying and you've got yourself just another disappointing fall in Columbia.

Where do you at mizzou put the projection trophy? You must have to hang something in your rafters right?

That's a prediction. Missouri did it this winter in real life.

Huh? ku has been a bottom of the barrel squad nearly their entire existence. They aren't going out onto a limb predicting that. You have to be willing to sacrifice football to compete in monkey ball every year.

Kansas Football didn't even finish last in it's conference.

Missouri Basketball was perhaps the worst Power 5 team of all time.
