What kind of weather phenomenon is this?
My cousin took these in Jackson Hole. He said it was even more impressive in person and the picture doesn't do it justice. I know him well enough to know he's not spoofing me with some camera trick.





Notice the one tree brightly lit up in the middle of the day (my cousin is religious so he said it looked like God's favorite tree). Anyone have any ideas? Doppler rings?
