Free agent WR Anquan Boldin has a visit set up but with which team? MY SOURCE SAYS US
Is it us ? hmm... My source says yep ! Exciting !
://www.arrowheadpride.com/2017/7/18/15988330/free-agent-wr-anquan-boldin-has-a-visit-set-up-but-with-who The Kansas City Chiefs could use some competition at receiver which is why I noticed that Anquan Boldin is still a free agent and has a visit set up with the “mystery team” sometime soon. It was previously reported that Boldin wanted to sign somewhere around training camp time, which is coming up. NFL receiver Anquan Boldin told me he's had conversations with a number of teams about signing & has a visit set up for Sunday. — Omar Kelly (@OmarKelly) July 17, 2017 There is no doubt the Chiefs, who ranked 3rd worst n RZ pass success & 5th worst in 3rd down pass success, sorely could use him. At 36 Boldin is past his prime but he still put up eight touchdowns last year in Detroit. He had 1,000 yard seasons as recently as 2013 and 2014. The Chiefs have a bunch of young guys at receiver so I would be interested in adding someone like Boldin, a savvy veteran who clearly has been doing something right to stay in the league since 2003. I’m looking to replace the veteran leadership that Jeremy Maclin brought. Over The Cap has the Chiefs with about $11 million in cap space so they could afford it. Boldin probably wants to play for a contender at this stage of his career and the Chiefs fit there. I don’t know the scheme fit here but based on Boldin’s resume I would be interested. This is a nice video on what Boldin has left. He’s lost a step but can still contribute. http://www.facebook.com/ArrowheadPride/videos/691983494328055/ |

This directly correlates to Alex's risk adverse nature with chucking it up for his playmakers

He had more yards (584) and more TD's (8) than anyone other than Ty Hill last year (593 and 6). The dude's a warrior. Get him on a 1 year, $3 million dollar deal and I'm in. |

KC absolutely needs a veteran WR....just not one that produces 2 TDs @ $12 million a year.
I can see the logic behind this...he will only play a few seasons while the rookies/2nd year guys are groomed. Going into a season where Albert Wilson is your longest tenured WR is a dubious situation. Chiefs need WRs that can block...Boldin is a tough dude. Didnt he play with a broken jaw? |

Weird cross-direction timing. In any case, Pete Sweeney is awful. There are youtubers with only a couple hundred subscribers who are better on camera than he is |

Boldin wouldn't be coming in to be a 4th string WR though. Big difference.
If you're signing a Boldin, it's because you need a short term starter. Personally, i'd rather see what the young guys have.

I've watched the guy a lot these past few years... many WR's have a noticeable drop off in their potential at a certain age that Boldin hit a long time ago...the guy is freaking 36 years old...and he didn't hit that dropoff nearly as much as the average NFL WR...he is still a stud. He should be mentioned in the same breath as Steve Smith Sr., IMO. Boldin is a freaking baller. |

I'm on board, we need some veteran knowledge that comes with a Superbowl and surefire muscle on the offense side of the ball that has red zone capability.

Alex Smith is the QB for goodness sake. What the hell would he do with a red target? He sets up our midget kicker, not throw to the end zone. Will be wasted money.
