Genesis lets you prioritize sources too, if you haven't found that part. In the Genesis settings, you can choose your source priority. Figure out which ones work best for you and put those at the top of the list.

Is there a way to have it list the sources with SD first instead of HD.

Well.... I haven't tested it, but there's separate visibility settings for HD and SD sources. Have you tried just turning off all HD sources in Settings?

I mess around with it and see what I find. so far it seems the SD are just as large as the HD. A standard SD show should only be about 400mb but so far they are almost 1gig. I may have to go back to 1channel if this is how genesis works.
