He had a great year in 2011, an average year in 2010 and a bad year in 2009. The trend is positive, but to date he hasn't exactly made a lot of pressure kicks and he's kicking in a decent environment. Sample sizes make looking at a single season an unreliable indicator of a kicker's skill. If he does it for another season, you may be onto something. Right now though, he's just another decent kicker. I'm not going to get bent out of shape over cutting him for Succop, though it does pretty much take any bloom out of that draft pick's rose. At best, Succop was a lateral move.

and then out of the gate this season show you can continue the trend by going 3/3 in his first game. He's more than average he is one of the better kickers in the league. And Fat Scott flat out cut him. Like he did Jason Babin. like he did Wade Smith. Because Fat Scott is an overrated fat piece of shit GM idiot |

I've never seen a kicker slice a kick like that in near perfect conditions. That being said, the play was rushed, and I don't think the snap was all that great.
There are better kickers out there, and worse kickers. I'm more worried about getting the D shored up at this particular moment, though. |

That said, I think every year we should bring in meaningful competition for him via draft or FA until someone outperforms him. But like someone said, he is near the bottom of this team's problems. Even more uninformed a statement than the OP. |
