pacman jones says Brown winked at him while laying on ground, he faked it
Ben Roethlisberger ('sore'), Antonio Brown ('fine') prepare to play
The Pittsburgh Steelers may have survived Saturday's wild-card battle against the Cincinnati Bengals, but the extent of their wounds will likely decide their fate Sunday against the top-seeded Denver Broncos. Currently, the Steelers expect to have Pro Bowl quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown — both of whom found themselves on the wrong end of Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict's questionable to deplorable hits — in uniform for their divisional-round game in Denver. Roethlisberger told reporters in the locker room on Sunday he is "day to day" with a "sore" right shoulder, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He reportedly underwent an MRI one day after Burfict appeared to drive a knee into his shoulder on a sack on the final play of the third quarter. The NFL Network reported Roethlisberger suffered a sprained AC joint upon separating his right shoulder. Roethlisberger returned for Pittsburgh's final drive, completing five of his eight short attempts to help set up the game-winning field goal — thanks in part to Burfict's unnecessary roughness penalty on Brown. As for the All-Pro receiver, he entered concussion protocol following Burfict's vicious blow to his head at the end of the fourth quarter, but Brown "is said to be fine and should be able to play against the Broncos," according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Just how "sore" Roethlisberger's shoulder is and how "fine" Brown appears to be remains to be seen, but the Steelers will need both on the field if they hope to challenge an even more imposing Denver defense come Sunday. For the time being, at least, it appears they will at least be in uniform for Pittsburgh.

And if Brown returns, it may not be fair, but it will reopen the wound of Jamaal being forced to sit in Indy.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet the farm on the Broncos this week though. |

Why? Steelers ride and die with that defense of theirs. This past weekend, the good Steelers D showed up. If that D we saw in Cinci shows up in Denver, Manning won't finish the game.

It really comes down to if Ben plays. I'll say again, Landry gives them no shot at winning. |

Noticed watching the replay of the game that Gilberry also gave Porter a large deliberate shove, harder than Pacman, before Pacman even did.

He didn't bait anybody. He reacts to his trainer shrugging off Burfict. Maybe he lingers there a few seconds too long. He didn't jump into the defensive huddle as we've heard from the media. He gets shoved into it and then is surrounded by Bengals. Porter is being scapegoated by Bengals who want to make excuses for their sack of shit behavior. |

They are reporting Lewis is stepping down after this season to pursue other opportunities.

Lewis deserves a medal for what he did for Cincy. They were Cleveland and he made them very competitive. It's unfortunate they didn't have a QB that could put them over the top.

Marvin Lewis is basically the girl that finds out she's about to be broken up on and initiates it first to save face. The Bengals weren't going to keep him.

It's amazing that Lewis has to show himself the door. Mike brown is the worst owner in sports. And no doubt he kept Lewis around because he's cheap as ****.
