Walmart apologizes for 'fat girl' costumes
Sounds like they know their clientele.

(CNN) -- Walmart found itself sending apology tweet after apology tweet Monday after the Twitterverse raked it over the coals for a major goof on its website.
For whatever inexplicable reason, the retail giant's site featured a Halloween category, titled "Fat Girl Costumes."

You won't find it there now, thank goodness, but it stayed there for a large part of the morning -- and long enough for multiple screen grabs.

The presence of the category was first reported by Jezebel, which in turn was alerted by a reader who stumbled upon it while looking for costumes.

It was basically a collection of costumes that you'd usually find on the site's plus-size women's section.

After Twitter users complained in droves, Wal-Mart took down the section and sent out multiple apology tweets.

Someone will likely get fired over this. Fat girls should have a costume option just like normal people. It's absolute BS that they took that page down. I know you all think I give fat chicks a bad time, but I'm on their side here. Put that page back up and stop discriminating against fat girls. Just because nobody wants to look at them walmart shouldn't try to keep them from buying costumes.

People are so overly sensitive. Fat girls know they're fat. I actually think it's less offensive than saying "plus size". Thing is, did they advertise Fat Boy Costumes? I mean, I'd rather them not be sexist.
