Weird that the 2,3,4 hitters all named Matt. I hope the Matt's have a bad series.

Would you guys rather have Carpenter or Moose? Both are having all star years. Who's better?

You can't go wrong with either right now. I might give the edge to Moose just for his defense. Carpenter has certainly proved to be a better hitter over the long haul, though.

If you want to get St. Louis fan riled up, ask who you would take between Salvy and Yaddy right now....

It is definitely going to be raining tonight but it looks like the heaviest of it should hold off until close to when the game should be ending.

Yadi is aging. Can't stop time. But, his ability to call a game, his baseball knowledge and managing a pitching staff still makes him the most valuable catcher in the game.

He is going to be a great manager after he is done playing.

But, I do love Salvy.

Histroically, when we face a good pitcher for the first time, we struggle. Just like last night. We have killed Volquez when he was with Cincy. We know all about him.

Of course a fly ball pitcher like Volquez is a different cat in Kauffman with the large outfield, instead of a band box like Cincy.

It looked like mathena was calling the game early yesterday. Maybe he was just communicating about Lynn's possible injury.
