chiefs have already acquired players to fit the scheme of a 3-4 Defense. Are you suggesting that the team get rid of all those guys just to fit a 4-3 for Donald? That would require a rebuild, and the chiefs brass have already stated they are sticking with the 3-4.

A total rebuild? Um no. I'm saying you don't pass on highly talented game changing type players because they don't fit a "scheme".

We don't sit in a base 3-4 set every down anyway.

I think Donald is a 43 under tackle but if the chiefs font office thinks he's that talented (he is) they shouldn't hesitate to draft him

well that is how you get guys like Glen Dorsey. Drafted for a 4-3 and end up playing 3-4 end. Didnt work out all that well for the chiefs.

It's also how you pass on guys you should take.


Scheme fit is absolutely something that's should be in your list when checking a prospect, it's just that it shouldn't be

A. At the top of the list or

B. a determining factor
