SHOOTING INSTRUCTOR ACCIDENTALLY KILLED, SHOT WITH UZI BY 9-YEAR-OLD GIRL

Wednesday, August 27, 2014
DOLAN SPRINGS, Ariz. -- Authorities say an Arizona shooting instructor has died after he was accidentally shot while showing a 9-year-old girl how to use an automatic Uzi.

Mohave County Sheriff's officials say 39-year-old Charles Vacca, of Lake Havasu City, died Monday after he was shot at the Last Stop shooting outdoor range in White Hills.

Sheriff's officials say Vacca was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

According to investigators, Vacca was standing next to the girl when she pulled the trigger and the recoil sent the gun over her head.

Deputies say the girl was at the shooting range with her parents.

Yes, as long as there is the proper licenses present. These types of ranges are gaining popularity because it allows normal every day folks a chance to fire weapons they wouldn't have access to with out tens of thousands of dollars.

I would assume so if they had the proper licenses (READ-paid enough money to the state so they could hose customers on the price of firing full auto weapons).

Wow, I didn't know that. The range my wife and kids go to allows semi-auto but they don't allow full.

That's how most are, and a lot of them have rate of fire limits. These are specialty ranges. Now I'm not sure that this range was that type of a place, but it sure looks like it.

Again, I'm not sure, but this looks like a place where you can rent fully automatic weapons that require a class III ffl to own. These aren't the types of places inexperienced shooters go. The parents really should have known better, and if they didn't the INSTRUCTOR should have known better.
