I hate these ship battles.

My dear girl, there are some things that just aren’t done. Such as, drinking Dom Perignon ’53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s just as bad as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs.

Your ship is moving therefore you have shoot a little beforehand. Also upgrade your ship. It's on the table right next to the old guy that you talk to to see the missions. Get another cannon or incendiary cannon fire and you can buy things that fortify damage soak of your ship. Also you can essentially go out as far as you can on that mission to where the mortars can't even reach and come back around. INteresting. Another post I found out there said to wait for them to shoot and then go full sail to avoid them, then come to full stop and shoot. Rinse repeat.

I'll try both this weekend when I get a chance to play again.
