Tigers get Price. Royals get Jack Shit.

Tigers tighten hold on division with a blockbuster trade.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/tigers-...204522907.html

In other baseball news..

Royals get Jack Shit-hope for the best. Decide 2nd or 3rd for the next ten years is not too bad-after all they are still making a profit.

So who is jumping off the Royals bandwagon now?

Fee free to insert any 2 players you wish save a very select few. Point is, we had the pieces and GMDM is an idiot.

Tell me again how Verlander is better than every SP on the Royals roster.

Jeff Passan just said the Royals could have made the Cespedes trade with James Shields and a prospect.

I would have traded Shields myself. But you know Dayton wouldn't ever do that, it would hurt his ego.

If Beane decided Lester was the best SP he could acquire for Cespedes and that was his target, then it wouldn't matter who else the Royals would have added to the deal. I guess the Royals could have done something stupid and offered Shields and Perez, but that would be dumb on the Royals part.

Passan: "If you send the A's Shields and a prospect, you get Cespedes through next season as well as the draft pick you'd get from Shields anyway."

JFC.

Passan: "There's no indication to me that Dayton Moore's job is in jeopardy right now."
Parkins: "Well then why is he so averse to selling?"
Passan: "I don't know. This team is not talented enough right now to go on a run right now and get one of those wild card spots or win the division."

JUST ****ING SHOOT ME.

Shields isn't going to resign with KC. Everyone except GMDM knows this. Is this fireable in and of itself? Maybe not, but goddamn does it make GMDM look like a ****ing moron.

I don't know, but I doubt it.
It is just a thread dipshit-if it was a tantrum it would be like this.

If you don't like the thread or the title don't keep posting erroneous post in it -like there were not any Bats to be had. And calling the Price trade a myth-when the Tigers pulled it off.

And saying the Royals pitching is so awesome they didn't need a Cy winner is just nonsense. A team can never have too much pitching-as the Tigers just proved since they were already better than the Royals. But the Royals did what they always do-Nothing- JACK SHIT!! Hence the thread title.

In what universe was Detroit's pitching better than the Royals before today? Royals team ERA is 3.69 and the Tigers is 4.02. If the Royals scored runs like Detroit they'd have one of the best records in baseball.

If, as reported by Passan, that Cespedes could have been had for Shields and a prospect, it was foolish to not make the trade. I tend to believe that Passan is speculating. There is no proof either way so there is no need to debate it.
