In the moments following Andrew Wiggins' press conference to announce he was declaring for the NBA Draft, Kansas University men's basketball coach Bill Self responded to questions about an inappropriate photo of junior point guard Naadir Tharpe that surfaced on Twitter on Sunday.

The photo, which showed Tharpe and an unidentified woman, included nudity.

"Obviously we are aware," Self said. "It was brought to our attention and (I) certainly am extremely disappointed with what's transpired and the judgement that went along with it. To say anything else publicly is something that would be inappropriate at this time, but it will be addressed and it will be handled internally."

People are really piling on Naadir. It's crazy too, because after last year, everybody was so positive about Tharpe, and I was the one being negative. I couldn't figure out why last year everybody was so jacked about Tharpe. He was coming off of a terrible year. Dude shot 34% from the field, was terrible at defense, turned the ball over. People last year seemed to think he would become Russell Robinson. Based on what evidence, I'll never know.

All he did this year was increase his FG percentage 11 points, lowered his assist to turnover ratio, became more of an offensive force. He's barely a Top 100 recruit, I mean good god, what were you guys expecting? He more than met my expectations for what he would accomplish this year, which isn't to say he's an amazing guard. You can't really control when your shot isn't falling. He didn't show up in some games, but it happens. There were alot of guys that didn't show up in big games. I just get the feeling that Tharpe is everybody's whipping boy, kind of like how Taylor was his junior year, and half of his senior year until him and Robinson put us on their backs to the title game. I hope Tharpe gets to work, shuts all of you sonsabitches up next year.

Becoming the nurse
