Life Baltimore

I'm getting ready right this second to drive up to KC and catch a red eye flight there for work this week. I've NEVER been even close to there, but I have seen the wire. I'm going to make a killing for work this week and don't want to get killed. Who can help a brutha out?

Where should I eat? Where should I visit? Where should I not visit even remotely, on accident, for even 5 seconds? I'm all about statistics, and I don't want to become one there. Haha! I'm not remotely worried about it, it's just funny too me. That said, any heads up on cool shit to do, great places to eat, and the places to avoid would be great. This is a particularly long work week as I'll be there until the weekend. Help me out B-More folk!

Inner harbor is generally safe. The national aquarium is pretty good. The rest of the city can be hit or miss we are talking block by block here.

Have to get crab cakes and blue crab with Old Bay.

Camden yards is pretty awesome. Only been there to see the chiefs. Driven past a ton going to the shore. You can walk past the warehouse even if they aren't playing I think.

I have been over there I would guess 20 times out of necessity and it's just not my thing. Hey look at the bright side, as far as I know there are no current riots in progress.

As others have said the inner harbor area is pretty cool and your odds of getting stabbed, shot, or your corn hole violated are at a minimum.

Just found out we're staying at a nice Wyndham property a short drive from the Inner Harbor. Not sure if the other place is going to be right by the airport or what, but hey, at the end of the day I'll just stay on property for those days if necessary. I mean, I love to check these places out since I'm being paid to travel to them, but this is a long trip and I'll have time. Shot, stabbed, and corn holed are definitely not on my itinerary! Lol

I've never had any problems, but I usually try and get a heads up on the surroundings of big cities and that's a big reason why I've never had a problem.

You will be fine Mike, just pay attention to your surroundings and when in doubt hop in a cab.

The safeness gradient in Baltimore is steep. So don't go "exploring" at night if you don't have a clue which direction to walk, same as any major city.

You should be fine. I audited the Cabela's store in East Hartford CT one time and after I'd been out and about around the hotel, the store staff told me that was a good way to dead myself in the area my hotel was. Oops.

If you can make your way to DC if for no other reason than Arlington and the plaza.
