He got exposed. They kept him in the pocket, and he failed.

dude almost single-handedly beats Seattle IN THEIR house (which is a ridiculous home field advantage) in the NFC Championship game and we have posters who think he's terrible
uhm, what? did we not see what that team, on a neutral field, did to Peyton Manning two weeks later? Holy shit. That performance totally vindicated Colin Kaepernick, or at least should have, to all of his haters. Kaep / Wilson / Rodgers / Luck Those are the new crop of true franchise guys. |

Its the Alexuals cult from the 49ers who think he is horrible because he replaced their idol.

His inability to find the mismatch, Vernon in an lb or any corner not named sherman on boldin, and once again forcing things he didn't have to are why it is acceptable to question him. You are defending him, yet, the Colts last year smashed the 49ers on the road, beast Seattle at home, and alex lit them up with out his best player. So by your logic alex Smith is vindicated as well.

Kaep made one horrible play, admittedly. But it's against the best defense I've seen in quite some time, on their turf...
He still played a really good football game against a really good team. The final throw wasn't bad by any means...he gave his guy a chance to make a play, but, unfortunately, his guy was M.E.D.I.O.C.R.E and the defender was not. |

A well thrown fade doesn't give the defender an opportunity to make a play. That ball was thrown short.

Good protection. Wide open Patton in the flat to the left, Davis is about to come free on an out, Boldin is about to come free down the seam, and Sherman is on Crabtree like glue. Kaepernick decides to throw to the guy who's actually covered by the best corner in the league. I'm sure that the Seahawks fans were in tears with laughter once Kaepernick released that ball and didn't bother looking at his other reads. |

Laugh all you want. More playoff wins than Alex will ever have, and he's only started 23 games.
49ers fans won't give a shit about Alex Smith in a couple years.
