Welp...Laid Off Today
joy.
the project I've been working on for the past 2 years is winding down, and the client wanted us to reduce head-count. So, myself and three others were let go today.

Damnit!!
Though, my boss told me to update my resume and send it to him. he knows a good friend of him who is Director level that is looking for people. I believe him, and don't think he's blowing smoke up my butt. I've either worked with him/for him or been in contact with him over the course of projects since 2002.

So, we'll see about that. Another young guy at work, texted me and let me know his dad is a manager at his company so I'll get my resume in his hands as well.

I hope I find something soon. My wife took a huge pay-cut last year (around35%) because her job at the time was causing exacerbations with her MS due to stress.

hopefully I won't have to dole out handy's behind the 7-11 for cash.

I'm looking to get away from Trans Scam. Every driving position I've seen wants a minimum of fresh out of school, to 3-12 months experience. Smaller outfits want 2+ yrs.

Couldn't sleep.

Dayze is a poster child of life long insomnia. went about 36 hours w/out sleep over the weekend.
and, since I was without insurance, I had to unexpectedly quit a psycho drug cold turkey which has left me feeling like coming off of a narcotic withdrawal the last week. absolutely horrible. I'm not even going to go back on the shit. too ****ing scary something can **** you up that bad thats a 'prescription'

never going back on to any Rx type of anxiety or anti-depression type drug. Seriously man, for about 3 solid days, non-stop, I felt like I was coming off of some serious addiction. It's been probably a week now, and I'm 'just now' feeling a tiny bit normal. I was constantly Dizzy; felt like puking, sweats, loss of feeling in my hands/feet, COMPLETE forgetfulness (like forgetting my cell phone number I've had for 10 years); eyes felt like they were going to burst with each heartbeat I could feel....

Were you on Xanax or Clonopin or any of those type of drugs? Because I've heard those are harder to come off of than pain killers. And those are ****in hard.

Venlafaxine (also called Effexor or something like that). I was on about 3 different pills a day, but that's the one that I think was the bitch.
