Two 1st round picks for Russell Wilson in '16 and '17 or '17 and '18

Do you sign the offer sheet if the Seahawks non-exclusively tag Russell Wilson?

Pole cumming.

And I'm supposed to believe that Marshawn is the key ingredient to that team's offensive success?
And the Chiefs went from a bottom 5 offense in 2012 to the number 6 scoring offense in 2013 when Alex Smith got here. They fell in 2014 to 16th but I guarantee they'll be back to being top 8 this year.

Does that mean Alex Smith is elite?

I forgot Brad Johnson, who I believe was let go as well.
The answer is none of them.

Dilfer was the only one replaced the season following the SB.

Stats lie. They scored on ST and D in his first year.

They were actually only 11th in offensive points per game (due to easy schedule) and fell back to 16th last year, which is the norm for an Alex Smith offense. There they will remain.

The Chiefs were 16th in points scored with no WR TD's from a bottom 3 unit and a bottom 3 OL.

That speaks volumes to the QB and HC fighting through adversity, something Wilson has never had to do.

With better pieces this year, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Chiefs be in or around the top 10 in scoring.

The 10th best scoring team in the NFL last year was Seattle. They scored 41 more total points.

The additions this team made can help us score 41 more points. I have no doubt about that.

Disregarding the fact that we scored a defensive or ST TD in, like, our first 8 games of the 2013 season, going from 6th to 16th shows no consistency. We've yet to determine how much exactly Alex contributes to our offensive success as far as points are concerned. The Seahawks went from a bottom 10 offense to a consistent top 10 every year Wilson's been playing. That's a very significant jump and while the pieces around him are constantly changing, he continues to lead them to success.

Also, I've never said Russell was elite. My elite list only consists of Peyton, Brady and Rodgers as of now. Wilson would be in the second tier with other guys like Luck, Roethlisberger, etc.

Alex Smith is a good QB, by the way.

My issues with Smith are pretty well documented on this site. He frustrates me because he leaves so many yards, 1st downs, TDs, etc. on the field with his risk-aversion. I appreciate his lack of turnovers, which obviously help us win many games, but he needs to open up in a big way. I'm tired of the other team getting a 7 point lead and feeling like we've basically got no shot to win the game.

The biggest reason we dropped in PPG is the loss of Branden Albert.

Until this team has an OL, Alex is powerless to lead them to a top 10 ranking.

Why are people putting the consistency ALL on one player?

The last 2 season we have seen a different starter at the following positions.

LT
LG
RG
RT
2nd WR
TE
There has been no No consistency at all, especially on the OL.

He's a 1x qb. He's not gonna hurt the team but he's going to make it exactly what it is, on occasion better, in occasion worse.

It seems they've built the offense to his strengths this year but that's yet to be seen

If you're crediting Alex Smith for scores generated by the defense and special teams, you are using statistics to lie.
