OK, the game now days is played by players that are mostly African American or Hispanic. In the days I recall from the 60's to 80's the players were basically a 50% white to 50% minority.It was then we got a lot more hispanics and players from other races. However from what I recall and it's my belief that the crowds have always been predominately white or Caucasian.

Am I wrong here ?

I think you are generally right. Not sure if fangraphs has a stat, but if they do, someone will surely verify.
