World Anti-Doping Agency: Russia Should be Banned from the 2016 Olympics

http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/34765444

http://espn.go.com/olympics/trackand...field-athletes

After a long investigation, WADA just released a shocking report today accusing the Russian Federation of running a huge state-sponsored doping scheme, including helping their athletes avoid detection in drug testing. They named 10 Russian athletes and coaches who should be banned for life, and given how corrupt Russia apparently is and the little amount of time remaining to the next olympic games, they also recommend that the IOC ban Russia from competing in Rio. (Not sure if the recommendation is just Russia's track and field team, or all of their athletes)

The IOC is not obligated to agree to the recommendation, but there's pressure all over the world on the IOC to hammer Russia.

Anything else?

Jordan's bulls in his prime. They won every series.

Whoever wins the title is the best team of that year (series, not single elimination).

If you are saying whoever wins a series was the better team on those nights, sure, whatever.

If you are saying whoever wins a series still would have won every single series if they replayed it 100 times, well no.

Yes, and that results in the better team winning the series.

Anything else? Golf would be dead last on my list. Baseball might be just ahead of golf.
Novak Djokovic is having perhaps the most dominant tennis season ever in 2015. And yet, still *just* a 94% win percentage (78-5).

Prime Bolt is a good one, though.

Oddly enough, I think I might go along with Mayweather at 100% in boxing, but not Rousey in MMA. Well, against Holm Rousey is 100% but surely there's a BJJ black belt out there who could give her problems.

Mayweather is close to a guarantee in boxing right now.

Then the better team/competitor always wins no matter what. You're definition of better is "winner". Wow this was a stupid argument.

Its all but certain that Russia is going to be banned when the IAAF meets in a couple days. Not every member of the IAAF council has commented, but out of 26 voters (14 votes needed) all 9 Europeans said they will vote to ban Russia, and everyone assumes that the USA representative will as well, so they'd just need 4 out of the other 16 members.

edit: One of the members is from Puerto Rico, so basically count that as 2 USA members. Russia has 1 member. So, probably 3 out of 14 votes needed.

Russia has decided to admit to at least some of the WADA charges, in the hopes of working something out, getting a quick IAAF reinstatement, and avoiding a general olympic ban.

Russia's track team has been banned by the IAAF, and will not be in the olympics unless they can convince the IAAF to reinstate them.

The sanctioning body for Track and Field (IAAF) has just announced that Russian track athletes should be banned from the olympics. It now goes to the IOC, who usually rubber stamps whatever each sport recommends.
