I can turn it off I think if people don't think it's necessary. I think the main thing is it's a "Hey, don't make fun of me for issues in punctuation because I'm typing on a little bitty keypad and have great big thumbs."

Generally, the people who get mocked for poor spelling, punctuation or grammar are those who are actively insulting the intelligence of others while they do it.
