I wonder what praises our lil' dumbass will sing PS4 when it comes out with the same used games and licensing policies. Of course, PS4 might choose to stay in the present with the PSN as opposed to evolving and not invest into a cloud infrastructure like XBL is doing, so we'll see.

We'll know in 24 hours. As an owner of 360 and PS3, I'll avoid this gen of consoles if they both have this game licensing policy. I've already been primarily PC gaming the past couple years since this console hardware is 7 years old.

If Sony does it too then as Joe said, the console will be dead and I'll be making a gaming PC. The last Sony console I've owned is a PS2 and I've been Nintendo most of my life. I loved the 360 but this $$$ approach they've adopted is where I draw the line.

I have a gaming PC. It's really nice, but it can't replace the console completely, IMO. A gaming PC is also going to cost you quite a bit, and you might feel the need to upgrade in order to keep up with the games. Just giving you a heads up so you know what to expect.

LOS ANGELES -- The Xbox 360 is getting a makeover.

Microsoft Corp. kicked off its Electronic Entertainment Expo presentation Monday by unveiling a new Xbox 360 with a design inspired by its upcoming next-generation Xbox One console.

Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's vice president of marketing and strategy, says the updated Xbox 360 is "smaller, sleeker and as quiet as ever." Mehdi added it would be available beginning Monday.

Microsoft boasted that hundreds of new games are still coming to Xbox 360, which was originally released eight years ago as the high-definition successor to the Xbox. The gaming console has outsold rivals from Nintendo and Sony for the past two years.

Microsoft debuted the Xbox One console earlier this year at its headquarters in Remond, Wash.

It's set for release in November starting at $499.99

Aren't the upgrades just graphics cards? And I do understand it's expensive which is why I avoided them, but I might have no choice.
