Wow, just heard this at work today....That's some of the worst music I've heard in a while......my only thought is that it's so horrible, they will play it and it will gain popularity just because of that fact....like the LFO "I Like Girls That Wear Abercrombie&Fitch" song.

Analysis: The early part of the stanza is about enlightenment. Her eyes open, things are fresh to her. However, real-world pressures bring her down from this enlightenment ("go downstairs"), and drag her into the mundane (eating cereal). She is then forced into conformity with society (going to the bus stop to catch the bus, which is full of other people who have done the same), but then she sees an alternative, a means of escape.
