I think I have a drinking problem

Or perhaps it's my anxiety and I'm sure I'll be flamed for it. Ever since this summer it has not been uncommon for me to drink 3-4 a night this happened when my gf left me. I keep taking tests online and there has been no definitive answer. My friends and family have yet to express concern. I just wish there was an answer.

Get real drunk, so you have some of that liquid courage in ya, then call your ex and beg for her to come back. She's probably gonna say no, but just think of how good you will feel if she says yes. That will get rid of the drinking problem.

I've set up a schedule where I jog in the AM lift weights and night. I'll only drink 1 night a week on the weekend. So far 1 for 1. There were some gems in this thread I really do appreciate it guys.

hmmm I'd say there are two definitions:

1) Alcohol is hindering or causing harm to your personal relationships, and or career.

2) You are experiencing physical symptoms of addiction when you do not drink.

If one of the above shoes fit, you may have a problem.

Unless you are having 1oz pours of whiskey, which is extremely small, you are getting anywhere from 95-130 calories per shot of whiskey as a shot is 1.5-2oz.

3-4 drinks is likely putting you near 400 calories of whiskey alone, not taking into account what you might mix it with.

Exactly. Way too much work. Especially way to much work to feel like shit so often.

I don't consider someone who has a glass of wine at supper most nights an alcoholic, but someone who is drinking to get drunk almost everyday certainly is.
