We've played a lot of good quarterbacks. Brady, Wentz, Rivers, Cousins, Watson. If we played the last 5 games of the season first we would probably be top 10 defense.
The whole rest of the season we play maybe one or two better quarterbacks,(Carr, Rothlesburger, and he's declining) and we always stomp Carr. |

I loathe "Bend, but don't Break" defense, because you get pissed watching the defense bleed yards to the opponent with the hope that this isn't the drive that "breaks" them.
Additionally, if you desperately need a 3-and-out late in the game: "Bend, but don't Break" doesn't exactly fit the bill. I hate it, even if it is working for us. |

if you are forcing your CBs to play 7+ yard off, sure.

We've allowed 3 garbage time TD's when the game is over. That skewers the stats by a lot.
That goes from 22 PPG allowed to 18.

It was a major point of contention when people wanted to blame the defense in January.

Not... exactly... The wins stay intact.. but it still shows a glaring weakness in deep coverage. It's not as if KC was playing prevent, and allowing only 15 yard chunks.

Opponents are averaging 22.2 points per game against so, so about middle of the road at the moment. We should find out fairly soon if the defence's 'bend don't break' way of doing things ends up failing us or not
