Actually it is.... All the pressure is on the shooter. Keeper just has to guess the right way. Keeper gets gets scored on no big deal supposed to happen. Shooter doesn't score he choked.

Ok? The chances of the goalie succeeding are slim. The odds are stacked GREATLY against him. Not so much the shooter. If he doesn't make it, the goalie got lucky, or he shouldn't have been taking it.

Think of it as someone trying to make a 6 putt to win the Masters or British Open even though they should make pressure and stress do things to your muscle memory. If you miss hit just a fraction it can be missed or saved.

Ha! Yea I am sure those numbers would hold up of taken and compared. People miss the goal allll the time in PKs. I have seen a guy miss the goal in basketball maybe a handful of times. Ever.

Kick an actual soccer ball or two and get back to us.

Believe me, I live and breathe those situations and it is weirdly frustrating to actually see professionals doing something on the national stage that I can actually do better. Not saying I now or ever could compete in general play at that level, but set plays and PKs, I often pull my hair out at the failure to execute I see.
