Vogelsong must be horrid.
Their fans are demolishing him and Bochy for his trust in Vogelsong. If the Royals can somehow pull this one out tonight, it's ovah. |

You do remember 1985 right? 3-1 isn't safe.

I'd like to add to the comments about Davis -
Not only does this guy have that nasty cutter. He has mound presence, I think that's overlooked and not talked about enough. There's certainly something to it that'll never show up on the stat sheets. He reminds me (at least somewhat) of Craig Kimbrel & I realize they're not the same 'situational pitchers.' There is something to this guy that makes hitters guess and practically fear his delivery. Love this dude. Wish the Braves had him to set up Kimbrel, but we need another stick, before addressing any late relievers. |

different teams, who were built differently
If KC gets a one run lead it's essentially sealed, due to the pitching/fielding. Outside of starting Shields the Royals pitchers won't shit themselves.

Unlike the Angels and Orioles, they make good contact instead of striking out all the time Tough outs.

Bumgarner has never pitched on 3 days rest so it's not shocking.

I had a little get together at my apartment last night so I couldn't post on CP during the game, and we drank copious amounts of alcohol...
but let's just say I was a happy little panda bear. I jinxed the **** out of us during the Davis inning telling my casual baseball fan buddies I had a better chance of getting murdered right then and there then Davis giving up a run in that inning. I prevailed. He's so nasty...he should be the guy coming in during jams in the 6th inning, then pitching the 7th, and giving Herrera the clean inning but whatever. They're all beasts. |

I said this in the game thread. I dont understand why they wouldn't, especially when they have runners on with no outs. Wade is usually good for at least one K every time he comes in, usually 2.
